Provider Services Specialist

This is a salaried full time position designed to provide customer service and support to our Nurse Practitioners in a specific region. The Provider Services Specialist creates and maintains the provider profile in the scheduling system and assists the providers in making successful visits.
Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities
Creates the initial profile for a NP including geography and availability
Creates and maintains the original master file for a NP
Orients new Providers to the Opti-time system.
Maintains the NP profile with curren! t zip codes, opening availability according to standards.
! Creates and maintains travel profiles to meet the needs of the members.
Responds to Providers giving correct information on addresses, phone numbers, and special directions.
Interfaces with the Clinical Specialist for Reimbursement regarding PTO both planned and unplanned.
Logs, communicates, and documents all Provider cancellations.
Optimizes schedules at least twice a week communicating needs to the Call Center.
Works with Providers to maintain completed visits in Opti-time.
Prepares for and participates in client planning meetings.
Prepares accurate daily and weekly standard reports.
Participates in weekend and holiday coverage for the department.
Non-essential Job Functions
Assists with mailings
