Perinatal Testing Center - Will Spilt Time Between Loudoun Hospital and Fairfax Hospital
Job Description :
Provides clinical services according to specialized ultrasound practice standards and acts as a resource to students, nurses, fellows and other technologists, to ensure optimal department functions. Administers sound patient care practices according to hospital and department policies and procedures, to ensure the safety of the patients. Demonstrates safety for patients, ! staff and self as outlined in department protocols and regulat! ory guidelines, to ensure the safety of patients and staff. Maintains equipment, exam rooms and work areas in a neat and safe condition, to ensure the safety of the patients and employees. Completes ancillary tasks to ensure efficient and consistent departmental operations. - Studies are acquired on GE E.8 equipment at both sites. Average patient caseload is 14-20 patients per sonographer per day of varying complexity
1 year of hospital or do! ctor's office based experience in the performance of specialized sonography.
Strongly preferred: 3-5 years of experience in the performance of OB Diagnostics.
Strongly preferred: Perinatal testing diagnostic experience, Fetal Echocardiography experience, and Maternal Fetal Medicine experience.
ARDMS in OB required.
NT certification preferred.
BLS, ACLS
