We are currently recruiting for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for our Division of Endocrinology with our inpatient diabetes service. In this role you will be the initial point of contact for assessment and triage of glucose control for the population of the hospital. Working closely with the Glycemic Control Committee and the diabetes consult team of attending, you will be responsible for effective management of hyperglycemia, hypoglycemia, insulin dosing, using the Glucommander monitoring tool for blood glucose management, and effective transition to outpatient care for our discharged patients. The NP/PA will work in conjunction with Nurse Mangers in the hospital to efficiently monitor all patients for potentially dangerous glycemic episodes. The incumbent practices independently according to established protocols and in collaboration with attending physicians delivers quality healthcare across the lifespan.
