The Robert C. Byrd Health Sciences Center of WVU is seeking a Grants Administrator to support the faculty and residents o! f the WVU Department of Emergency Medicine by assisting the Director, Clinical Research in the oversight and management of all research activities and associated intramural and extramural funding proposals. This professional level position will perform research administration and support faculty researchers in the preparation of applications for external funding. The incumbent will also work with residents in the preparation and submission of grants to fund residency research projects, and assist other faculty and residents in the design and implementation of research projects that generate preliminary data for future grant applications. Other activities will include supervision of students assisting in the implementing of research studies and manuscript preparation and submission. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Public Health or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience and 1-2 years’ experience in research coordination and admi! nistration. Strong verbal/written communication skills, excell! ent organizational skills, and the ability to multi task and prioritize all work to be completed are essential to the position. Applicants with research coordination, grant and manuscript writing, and emergency department experience are encouraged to apply.
