Initiate appropriate emergency measures and assist others to effectively function in emergency situations.
Demonstrate perform! ance based competency in providing nursing care, based on age-specific needs, which requires knowledge and skills representative of a highly proficient LPN/LVN.
Observe, report, retrieve, and document in the patients' record, using objective and subjective data including interventions with outcome evaluation of nursing care given.
Demonstrate knowledge and skill in preparation and administration of selected medications according to medical center policy and procedure.
Demonstrate appropriate skills and knowledge for patient needs for nursing care, medications and to recognize deviations from normal for the patient population represented in the inpatient setting.
Demonstrate ability to serve as a responsible member of the nursing team and interact with patients, family members/significant other, professional and supportive personnel who provide patient care.
Exhibit professional and supportive demeanor with all medical center staff.
Demonstrate knowle! dge and ability to interpret and utilize policies and procedur! es in the administration of duties.
Work Schedule: Position Description Title/PD#: 0620
Relocation Expenses: Relocation expenses are not authorized for this position.
Physical Requirements: The incumbent may be required to lift 45 pounds or more, walk as much as six hours of an assigned tour of duty, stand for a s much as two hours during tour of duty with repeated bending. Vision requirements for both eyes 20/30 or better with color discrimination.
