Description: Poplar Springs Hospital is hiring Mental Health Worker - ITU 7A right now, this occupation will be placed in Virginia. Detailed specification about this occupation opportunity please read the description below. Poplar Springs Hospital, a 183 bed acute care and residential
facility, is located in Petersburg, Virginia, 20 minutes south of
Richmond and 50 minutes north of North Car! olina. Situated on 25
acres, our serene, nature-like setting offers our patients a sense of
calmness and peace. For more than 30 years Poplar Springs Hospital
has been guided by its mission of helping those who need the full
continuum of behavioral services. Our facility offers behavioral and
psychological treatment for adults and adolescents through our acute
programs, adolescent residential programs, sexually abusive youth
services, as well as programs for active duty military.

The candidate selected will be responsible for the following:
Responsible for providing safe, effective patient care under
the direction of the Nurse Manager and Unit Charge Nurse.

Plays a significant role in direct patient care and is a
principle element in providing a safe and therapeutic environment for
patients/residents.

Acts as a role model to patients/residents.

Demonstrates good verbal and written communi! cation skills.

Requirements

• Valid d! river’s license in good standing per UHS

Transportation policy.

• Baccalaureate degree in human

services; or

• Associates degree and three months

experience working with children; or

• Be a high school

graduate or have a General Education Development Certificate (GED)
and have six months of experience working with children.
