"Newly Created Team Coordinator Position" - Excellent opportunity for an experienced Nurse Practitioner in Eastern Virginia!

Award winning facility in Eastern Virginia is looking for a Nurse Practitioner to become their new Program Team Coordinator for Cardiac Surgery. The provider will be recognized as an ! interdisciplinary leader within the service area; reporting di! rectly to the Chief Medical Officer.

Key responsibilities:

• He/she will provide direct patient care through individual patient assessment, diagnosis management and coordination of care
• Daily morning rounding with Physician to discuss/problem solve patient progress according to clinical pathway
• Serve as a clinical expert to nurses and other ancillary service providers and experience in staff development, education or precepting nurses and other clinicians
• Collaborate with department heads regarding educational needs of hospital staff and community
• Demonstrates regard for the dignity and respect for all patients, their families, guests and representatives of other organizations as well as fellow employees,

volunteers and medical staff in support of the practice's mission to provide consistent, quality health care services in a professional, caring and responsive environment

• Develop the TAV! R program and more... (Additional details will be sent to interested applicants)

This facility has been known to be on the cutting edge and forefront in many areas in healthcare. To become a part of this team, they are requiring the following qualifications:

• Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited School of Nursing
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• BCLS certification (required within 60 days of hire)
• Active Prescriptive Authority Agreement
• Required: five years experience in a progressive cardiac surgery program
• Preferred: two years experience leading or working in a Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) program
