The duties and responsibilities of this position are: provides patient care by facilitating patient fl! ow through clinic process; assists clinicians and nurses; prepares exam rooms; performs patient measurements and screenings to include blood pressure, height, weight, temperature, vision, hearing, etc; performs routine venipuncture and lab tests. In addition, this position cleans and restocks exam rooms, sterilizes instruments, and maintains logs. This is an hourly position and must be willing to travel between two sites.

Minimum Qualifications

Certified Medical/Nursing Assistant with phlebotomist skills. Knowledge of basic principles of clean techniques in clinic setting, basic medical terminology and venipuncture technique. Skills in performing required health screening tests and procedures including venipuncture, use of PC, including word processing and database management. Ability to work with patients from all age groups, work on a team, document per agency guidelines, communicate effectively verbally and in writing, analyze problems and seek solution! s, follow directions, set priorities within work assignment, a! nd organize time to accomplish work. Travel required

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to work with a diverse population from all age groups.

High school education or equivalency preferred. Certified Medical/ Nursing Assistant with Phlebotomy skills strongly preferred. Experience working in a clinic or medical office setting preferred. Valid Virginia Driver's License.

Prefer bilingual communication skills (English/Spanish desired).
