Description: Carilion Clinic is at present recruited SURGICAL TECHNICIAN I - CARDIAC SURGERY right now, this position will be placed in Virginia. Participates in the delivery of individualized peri-operative registered nursing care under the supervision and guidance of a licensed physician or a registered professional nurse. Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to assure quality patient care. Minimum Qualifications Required: Education: High School graduate required.
Graduate of approved Surgical Technology Program, Licensed Practical Nursing or equiv! alent college level education preferred (i. e. Nursing educati! on, LPN student, RN Student). Will consider 1 year Surgical Technician work experience for education.
Experience: One year experience as a Surgical Technologist or Licensed Practical Nurse preferred. Cardiac Surgery experience preferred. Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: None. BLS certification from the American Heart Association is required.
Other Minimum Qualifications: Satisfactory completion of structured orientation program.
