VT Group’s Integrated Solutions/VT Milcom business unit is se! eking an experienced Proposal and Estimating Manager for cost estimating, cost analysis, narrative development, and document management pertaining to bids and proposals for commercial Information (IT) infrastructure and related projects. Emphasis is on healthcare, including nurse call systems. The position may be located in Jacksonville or Tampa, FL or Virginia Beach, VA. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing RFP documents, plans, drawings, and specifications and for using estimating software and pricing models to develop detailed cost and pricing estimates for projects. Will also develop narratives justifying the basis of estimates, assumptions, and exclusions. Qualifications: Bachelor’s in a directly related field of study with seven (7) years’ experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefer at least five (5) years’ commercial design and estimating experience for healthcare IT infrastructure projects; estimating expe! rience for audio visual, electronic security and other low vol! tage systems. Must have experience preparing technical proposals and documents, superior analytical skills to respond to RFP requirements, superb writing skills, and hands-on proficiency with estimating software. Experience with Accubid a plus.
