We are looking for a Nurse Informatics Specialist/EMR Clinical Lead. RN, BSN, MSN preferred, 4 years current clinical experience required. Experience with developing and implementing clinical information systems desirable and knowledge of various software applications advantageous. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, good interpersonal skills, strong leadership skills, ability Ability to assess, analyze, represent and translate clinical needs/requirements into appropriate systems development. Commitment to meet aggressive deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Serves as an intermediary between nursing, other clinical departments, and the IT department. Coordinates and collaborates with multiple disciplines and individuals to ensure goals and deadlines for EMR planning and implementation are ! met and to ensure that ongoing benchmark and quality improveme! nts actions occur. Ensures that the clinical requirements of nursing care and required elements for nursing practice are clearly delineated and incorporated into the clinical applications of the IT systems. Utilizes review of research and current evidenceâ€"based practice to recommend changes in both practice and the clinical information systems. Prepares/presents and communicates key messages and educational programs regarding the process and applications of the clinical information systems.
