Westminster Canterbury Richmond is looking for a Restorative Nurse Aide to join our premier continuing c are r etirement c ommunity (CCRC) in the health care center. The Mary Morton Parsons Health care Center is a 158-bed facility where residents receive short-term and long-term nursing care and rehabilitation from a devoted staff. Westminster Canterbury provides resident centered care that focus es on each individual resident ’ s physical, mental and spiritual well-being.
The Restorative Nurse Aide will oversee, direct, and participate in restorative programs initiated for individual residents. The Restorative Nurse Aide will facilitate the transition of residents from skilled rehab services to restorative programs through effective partnering and communication with nursing and rehab departments concerning goal setting and approaches to resident needs. The work hours for this position are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm various days per week and every other weekend.
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and skills:

High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid license as ! a Certified Nurse Aide in good standing with the state of Virginia
• Two years experience as a Certified Nurse Aide and knowledge of restorative nursing philosophy and procedures
• Knowledge of procedures and techniques involving administering treatments and providing bedside patient care services permitted by state regulation
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Strong documentation skills
• Previous experience working in long term care strongly desired
