Description: Sentara is currently seeking to employ REGISTERED NURSE - OCC HEALTH right now, this career will be placed in Virginia. Job Summary/Purpose: Conserves, protects, and promotes the health and safety of the employee in the workplace through direct care and by assisting other occupational and environmental health services as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred. Experience: Five years nursing practice required; two years occupational health nursing preferred. Licensure: Registered Nurse in Virginia or Multi State (PAC) license Other: Knowledge of occupational health.
Infection control , case management, workers’ compensation, and governmental regulations preferred. Regulations preferred Certification in basic life support required. Ability to make independent nursing judgments and to express ideas clearly in verbal and written form. Must have strong computer and keyboarding skills.
Must be able to use Databases such as Excel, Word, GroupWise, and PowerPoint
