DUTIES:
The mid-level provider will provide mental health services to Veterans presenting with complex medical and psychiatric disorders and the application of evidence based mental health treatments.The mid-level provider is a vital part of the multi-disciplinary mental health team providing comprehensive patient centered care.

Work schedule: Monday-Friday Administrative tour

Relocation expenses and/or incentives have not been authorized.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Physical standards - All applicants must meet the physical standards for the position. A physical examination prior to employment will be required. The incumbent may be required to l! ift 45 pounds or more, walk as much as six hours of an assigned tour of! duty, stand for as much as two hours during tour of duty with repeated bending. Vision requirements for both eyes 20/30 or better with color discrimination. The incumbent must possess sound and logical clinical judgment.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:
U.S. citizenship

English language proficiency (written and spoken)

Registration - Current, full, active and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the U.S. or in the District of Columbia. The RN must maintain a current, full active and unrestricted registration to continue employment with the VA.

Educational requirements can be met as follows: Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate State agency, and accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies at the time the program was completed: a) The National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC); or b) The Com! mission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE). OR The completion of course work equivalent to a nursing degree in a MSN Bridge Program that qualifies for professional nursing registration constitutes the completion of an approved course of study of professional nursing. OR In cases of graduates of foreign schools of professional nursing, possession of current, full, active, and unrestricted registration, will meet the requirement of graduation from an approved school of professional nursing.

Nurse Practitioners must be licensed or otherwise recognized as a nurse practitioner in a State, possess a master's degree from a program accredited by the NLNAC or CCNE and maintain full and current certification as a nurse practitioner from the American Nurses Association or another nationally recognized certifying body (The certification must be in the specialty to which the individual is being appointed or selected), for this position Family Psychiatric and /or Mental Heal! th Nurse Practitioner or Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Prac! titioner..

PA Education and Training:
(1). A bachelor's degree from a PA training program which is certified by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education of the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA) or

(2). Graduation from a PA training program of at least 12 months duration which is certified by the ARC-PA and a bachelor's degree in a health care occupation or health-related science, or

(3). Graduation from a PA training program of at least 12 months duration which is certified by the ARC-PA and a period of progressively responsible health care experience such as independent duty medical corpsman, licensed practical nurse, registered nurse, medical technologist, or medical technician. The duration of approved academic training and health care experience must total at least 5 years. As of March 12, 1993, certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician's Assistants (NCCPA) is a requirement for employment. Note: Educa! tion must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the United States Department of Education in order for it to be credited towards your qualifications for this position. Preferred experience requirements:
BLS and ACLS certifications must be approved by American Heart Association
