The Registered Nurse provides and directs clinically appropriate patient care to an individual or group of patients in accordance with the philosophy and mission of the Department of ! Nursing, the organization, and the scope and standards set forth by the American Nurses Association (ANA)..
Requirements:
Graduate of accredited school of nursing. Current
Virginia
State
RN License. Current BLS. Basic computer skills.
PACU:
ICU, ED, and/or PACU experience.
ED:
ACLS (New grads have 6 months from hire to attain). PALS (New grads have 1 yr from hire to attain).
FBC:
NRP (within 6 months of hire).
Infusion:
Must have passed ONS Chemo/Biotherapy Guidelines course and have a current Chemotherapy Provider Card in order to administer Chemotherapy.
OPSP/IR:
ACLS.
PACU:
ACLS, PALS.
Observation:
ACLS.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. 2 years of nursing experience.
Pre-op RN:
3+ years med-surg or surgical services experience.
Observation:
ED and/or ICU experience.
2! S/2W:
ACLS, Telemetry Certification.
3S/3W:
ACLS, PALS.
ED:
AHA Tele Online Course within 90 days of hire.
ICU:
ACLS.
OPSP/IR/Infusion:
ONS Certification.
